Change Team accountability and skills March 21, 2006

a question:  one of the roles of change leader is to work with management in creating teams that have accountability and appropriate skills.  What types of activities do change leaders do to meet this objective/role.

I’m not quite sure of what you mean by “activities.” I have a pretty good understanding of the people in my agency that are not afraid of accountability and have the skills necessary to be team members. But, as Murphy’s law says, “What can go wrong, will go wrong.” One person I was going to approach to be a key team member just tendered her resignation!

I think what Eldon is asking is how does a change leader work with the Executive Sponsor to select the right change team members and position the change team in the organization so that they can affect change. Does this clarify the issue at all for you?
